with love from Chinatown, London

Shot on my iPhone 8 ・ Half edited with Huji and/or Adobe Lightroom

We spent an awful lot of time in Chinatown when we lived in London. I suspect it’s because we missed home so much and it was one of the few places that gave us a little sense of what was to come. I took a lot of photos there over the many, many times we visited and I wanted to share them again today since I’ve been reading a lot about how Chinatown restaurants are losing business due to COVID-19. It blows my mind that people honestly believe if they step foot in anywhere remotely asian they’re going to catch the virus. Spoiler alert: you’re not going to catch coronavirus from your chicken chow mien or spicy tofu. Chinatown was always my escape from the hell around me and it breaks my heart to know that the businesses which once made me feel so welcome are being boycotted out of bigotry. So here’s to the place that made my hell feel a little less hellish - with love from Chinatown.
