What's in My Bag: Train Edition
In my angsty teenage years, I like many other angsty youths, turned to Youtube beauty gurus. For hours on end I could watch my favourite beauty gurus talk me through make up tutorials and what their monthly favourites were that month. However, some of my favourite videos were titled "What's in my bag?". It always felt like a very intimate thing to share with hundreds and thousands of people and I was happy to be one of them. Aside from enjoying sharing a private moment with an idol, I found the travel what's in my bag videos to actually be quite informative of what I should and shouldn't consider packing for my next trip. Since I've been travelling back and forth across the country, I decided it's high time to make my own what's in my bag post.
Tan leather with faux snake skin accents, my Fiorelli bag has been a staple in my handbag collection for a good few years now. With four separate compartments, it's perfect for me to carry everything from my wallet to my laptop.
Laptop and Charger
My faithful blogging companions are always priority when it comes to trips lasting up to 3 hours. Mostly I get lucky with trains and always find my way into a table seat with a socket, however that's not always the case, so my advice is to charge before you leave the house!
Wallet, Keys, Card Holder
Moolah holders and keys - pretty standard when I plan to pay for stuff and want to get into my house. My card holder is really the golden ticket here. I usually swap out my bus pass for my railcard, tickets, and debit card. This makes it easier to quickly take them out as needed.
Moustache Make Up Bag
My mini travel makeup kit carries all my essentials in case of an impromptu night out or surprise date. Contents include: MAC Liquid Eyeliner, No.7 Mascara, Rimmel 107 Lipstick (not pictured), No.7 mini eyeshadow and brush, and Forever Living Aloe Lip Balm.
Bullet Journal and Stationery
The newest edition to my travel bag is of course my Bullet Journal and all the supplies I use to make it ~aesthetic~. I keep all my pens, pencils, and highlighters in a pink Ted Baker pencil case, while the colour pencils stay in their box. (Read more about my BuJo here!)
Guilty as charged, I'm back into reading magazines. This months issue of Cosmopolitan has snuck its way into my bag.
So! That's all for what's been in my bag this Autumn/Winter season of train travel. It'll change in the spring time and if you guys are interested, let me know and maybe I'll update this seasonally! What do you take on your train journeys? Leave a comment! x
